Electric and Electronic Systems Engineering (EESE), 94000 within VCC R&D is an organisation with huge challenges in the future in areas as electric architecture, multi voltage vehicles, driver interaction & controls, infotainment and connectivity.
We are now looking for a Director Strategy and Concept since the current Director is moving into a new position.
94010 Strategy and Concept holds responsibility to lead the units activities in research, advanced engineering, annual strategy development, vehicle concept studies including planning and development cost estimations (GRM). The team consists of 7 persons, the Director reports to Vice President 94000 EESE and is part of the 94000 management team.
Leading the Strategy and Concept team will require you to lead 94000 EESE defining strategy as well as activities supporting and enabling the strategy. You will be expected to lead a very engaged and motivated team and be the internal, and external, voice of 94000 EESE strategy and preprogram/concept activities. It requires a high degree of personal engagement and involvement, a wide technical competence, good understanding of business accumen and communicative skills.
You will be responsible for:
• Leading strategy development on EESE and PSS level.
• Prioritisation and distribution of CORE and FUBAS budget.
• Lead and coordinate benchmarking activities in EESE.
• Lead and support research, AE and annual activities in EESE.
• Lead concept studies up to PTCC and secure completion of CDJ contracts in vehicle programs.
• Lead GRM and unit planning.
• Secure process development within responsibility area.
• Coordinate UTM, lead DTM S&C and UCLM within EESE.
• Represent EESE in TSCM and PAC-GB.
• Being an active member of the EESE management team.
• Leading, motivating and developing employees in the team.
Profile qualifications requirements:
• Master of Engineering or technical education from university or equal
• Experience from electrical automotive development and vehicle programs
• Good knowledge about VCC products
• Senior Management capabilities and experience
• Fluent in English
• Ability to think strategically but also a hands-on approach to occurring issues
• Holistic view on the business
• Experience in formulating strategies for Infotainment and Connectivity technology in the Automotive Industry
