Global Consumer Experience is the organisation in Volvo Cars that develops the global strategic direction for Volvo's commercial operations. The unit will drive the implementation of new strategic initiatives and ongoing business development and will support our sales regions in the deployment towards the dealer network via the sales companies.
Global Retail is the unit within Global Consumer Experience that is responsible for developing our retail experience, business model and distribution strategy. Within our Platforms department we are now looking for a Digital Commerce Director to take the lead for Volvo's online sales channel for cars, products and services. You will lead a cross-functional team responsible for designing, implementing and optimising the customer experience and online marketplaces we need on a global scale. You will work in a fast-paced environment and in close cooperation with our strategy, business and IT functions.
We are looking for someone with a strong digital acumen and experience in building and implementing online sales solutions. You have a proven track record for managing projects of high complexity and using technology to drive consumer experience and business performance. Also, you are an experienced leader in building high-performing teams and know how to achieve results by leading through others.
You will report to the Senior Director of Global Retail Platforms. The position will be based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Starting time is as soon as possible.
Required qualifications
* University degree
* At least five years of experience in development of digital solutions including e-commerce
* At least five years of managerial experience in building and leading a high performing team
* Deep understanding for how IT supports business needs
* Track record of driving progress, getting things done and having a strong business impact

* Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and work in teams
* Strong communication, visualisation and reporting skills
