Director Corporate Strategy
As our current Director of Corporate Strategy is taking on new challenges within Volvo Buses, we are now looking for his replacement. As Director of Corporate Strategy you will be taking on the challenge to drive the Strategic development work within Volvo Buses. The Bus business is facing a number of challenges and opportunities for the future, including the transition into electromobility and autonomous. You will be working close to the CEO/CFO/BEC (Bus Executive Committee) in this work, as well as together with the rest of the organization, setting strategic direction and priorities.
The holder of the position reports to the SVP Finance and CFO of Volvo Buses and will be part of the management team for Finance, Corporate strategy and Process & IT.
Main activities and responsibilities
• Drive the development of and setting the agenda for the strategic plan for Volvo Buses
• Specify, develop and follow up of main strategic elements together with the CEO/CFO/BEC team
• Lead projects and programs supporting the key strategic areas
• Drive regular BEC strategy forum, lead Strategy council and be a member of Commercial council
• Support improvement areas in Volvo Buses governance model
• Continuous improvement and development of Strategy process
• Lead annual planning process
• Guidance and direction to SVPs in developing plans and cascade Volvo Bus strategies
• Represent Volvo Buses in Volvo Group strategy forums
Key requirements:*Strong strategic skills
• Ability to link Strategic, Tactic and Operational agendas
• Drive for continuous improvement
• Ability to understand comprehensive and complex information / business input
• High level of integrity and skill to "challenge" senior management
• Strong communication skills
• Minimum 5 years of experience from similar tasks
• Bus business experience is considered as a merit

Profile
We think you have an open and positive attitude with a commercial mind set and extensive business experience from similar roles. You have a genuine interest to drive and develop you area of responsibility and possess good analytical and communication skills. Having the ability to translate strategic direction into operational agenda will be important. A good understanding of the Bus business is an asset.
