The Role
As Chief Technology Officer, you will drive the global technology transformation of Ingka Group and create an effective centralized organization owning technology across all platforms - retail, online, and mobile. You will also determine the roadmap, building a core architecture and engineering capability while driving the transformation with 5,000 digital co-workers.
The Chief Technology Officer will bring together visionary thinking and a proven track record of results, growth, and leadership to build and manage the technology capabilities. This will require forging a new path, navigating, and influencing key stakeholders to constructively challenge current practices, conventional wisdom, and accepted ways of doing things. The ideal candidate will have vast experience in identifying competitive advantages through data-driven insights and will build the required competencies across the organization. The ability to shape a culture that drives digital transformation is essential to be successful in the role.
Key responsibilities will include the following (not limited to):
• Bring the necessary technology vision, driving an integrated technology. Devise and lead appropriate change management programs.
• Drive the ongoing technology transformation
• Build bridges and how to integrate platform technologies, data analytics, and other capabilities to create a seamless customer experience and structure
• Develop the capability to build new competitive advantages from data and drive data-driven insights
• Devise and lead appropriate change management programs to enable technology to be embedded across all aspects of the business
• Provide the technology and architecture to support IKEA's digital product roadmap
• Provide enabling technologies to support the digital customer and colleague experience, ensuring it is consistent and effective across all aspects of the business
• Directly lead technology development with internal and third-party teams
• Build digital capability to leverage commercial opportunities.
• Accountable for architecture, infrastructure, platform, and data pipelines
Your Profile - we see that you have a:
• Proven experience building high-performance, multi-channel online products and/or platforms in a disruptive digital environment ideally with B2C, B2B, and business transformation experience. Prior experience in a CTO / CIO role for a business that has been through a transformation
• Extensive executive leadership experience in high growth, disruptive technology & business transformation producing tangible results
• Significant commercial, operational, and technological experience leading others to drive complex business operations in large companies
• Record of building great technology platforms and infrastructure that supports direct-to-consumer businesses
• Strategic visionary with a deep understanding of the digital technology world
• Proven results in growth, and leadership in building and managing architecture, engineering, and data capabilities
