The Digital Communications within the Corporate Communications department is a new entity mainly working on strengthening Volvo Cars brand and position as one of the most progressive and influential automotive company online. Our mission is to create relevant content for social media, share the corporate stories online and engage our community and influencers. We are also responsible for anticipating tomorrow 's needs and usage regarding platforms.
As a Digital Project Manager your key task is to be responsible for the day-to-day management of various corporate communications digital projects including site/micro-sites launches/maintenance. You will need to establish yourself as a trusted advisor on digital communications projects within the organisation, working in direct partnership with other stakeholders. You will also ensure that projects are delivered according approved timelines and budget. You will report to the Senior Director, Digital Communications and work closely with the Global Consumer Experience team to align on a seamless journey between the consumer side of the website and the corporate information.
Main responsibilities
* Act as a project manager for the new corporate website
* Advise and implement the updates on the website
* Liaise and coordinate with key stakeholders within the company and the content team
* Be a catalyst for continuous improvement on the platform
* Provide reports on the traffic and make improvement suggestions
* Manage strategic planning, operational execution and follow up of daily activities
* Build the SEO strategy and implement it
* Make some updates/changes on the website
* Coordinate with digital providers
Desired skills and experience
As an ideal candidate for this position, you have an academic degree or equivalent within the area of communication/digital as well as a proven background (minimum five years) in the area of either digital and/or project management. Additionally, some of your key characteristics include:
* Strong organizational skills
* Outstanding communication skills
* Project leading skills and a real passion for digital
* Ability to analyse and use qualitative and quantitative data effectively
* Experience of project management in an agency environment is a plus
* Fluency in English
* Hands-on experience with CMS. SiteCore is a plus
* Google Analytics experience and SEO skills
* A stylistic ability with a good eye for design and lay-out as well as UX experience is a plus
