Foundational products
Foundational products create services for the whole Group. Our mission is to make life easier for development teams, hence improving their productivity. We do this by enabling them to leverage new technology, practices, and processes. That includes but is not limited to; cloud, CI/CD, developer toolchains and automation.
We are a global team with colleagues in Sweden, France, Poland and India, this is the transformation engine that will propel Volvo Group into the future of tech.
What you will be doing
It's not enough for us at Foundational Products to create awesome products based on the latest technology. We also need to make sure that the development teams adopt and use them as well as keep up to date with latest stakeholder priorities. We measure our success in how much faster we can make development teams.
You will be leading the Golden Path scenario backlog. A Golden Path scenario is the recommended and supported way to build something (a backend service, a data pipeline, or a mobile app). The most commonly used Golden Paths will be automatically installed trough self-service in Backstage in order to make it even easier for teams to install a Golden Path scenario and ramp up faster. You will be leading the work of the Golden Path scenario backlog to make sure that we prioritize the right Golden Path scenarios, align with Stakeholders, and make sure that all internal teams work accordingly. This role is a dynamic blend of technology, innovation, strategy, and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder and portfolio management to secure the right priorities.
Drive internal steering group within Foundational Products
Strategize and execute plans to deliver successfully towards stakeholders, ensuring key deliverables, timeframes and roadmaps are met.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to align program strategies and outcomes.
Communicate prioritization, status, technical information, success stories, and challenges to stakeholders and executives.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management/portfolio management or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Deep understanding and experience of the software development lifecycle.
Experience of leading technical teams and software development.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Bachelor's degree in; Business, IT, Engineering, or related field.
