Parts & Service is a function within Quality & Customer Satisfaction (Q&CS) at Volvo Buses. We are responsible for Reduce "downtime" and increase "profitability" for the bus owners. The main sites are located in Sweden, Poland, Mexico, India and Brazil. We want to make a difference by being there for our colleagues and our customers and by providing uptime and reliable tools and information for short lead-time at dealers and workshops. All over the world . Every day.
Diagnostics & Embedded Systems (D&ES) is a group of 16 engineers in Gothenburg within the Parts & Service organization that is responsible for development of diagnostic methodology and software distribution solutions and also to safeguard log data capabilities.
We are now seeking an experienced Diagnostics Engineer who has the drive and passion to contribute to Volvo Buses profitability and who has knowledge in Volvo embedded systems including mechatronics and electronics, and who is ready to take some action and be a part of creating our future.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Your main focus will be service market tools development and to deliver diagnostics and operations in projects and maintenance in close cooperation with rest of our group, Product Development and with Group Trucks Technology-Aftermarket Technology (GTT-AMT).

Your main focus will be
• Service market tools development
• Tech Tool responsible within Volvo Buses and drive changes towards Group Trucks Technology-Aftermarket Technology
• Lead improvement work for current tools and products. Handle investigations into user experience of our tool and communications with the markets for feedback on content quality
• Contact person towards Group Trucks Technology-Aftermarket Technology for Volvo Buses unique requirements regarding tools development
• Coordination with Group Trucks Technology-Aftermarket Technology to develop Volvo Bus roadmap and issue projects for changes at Volvo Buses
• Work in Pre-studies that concerns the service market tool development
• Diagnostics operations development
• Be our groups representative in some projects
• Develop and verify operations and fault tracing for projects and maintenance in close cooperation within Parts & Service and Product Development
• Generate ideas of new operations we need to improve fault tracing and increase uptime for customers

Required Knowledge/Experience
To be successful in your new role we want you to have the following knowledge/experience:
• Passion for developing tools and services for dealers and workshops
• BSc degree in mechatronics/electrical engineering or equivalent
• Great communication skills in English, spoken and written
• Experience of developing diagnostics/operations
• Service minded and comfortable to work both independently and in teams
• Solution focused
• A large contact network at GTT-AMT
• Volvo Bus Service market knowledge
• Eager to learn and work with your own development
