Diagnostic System Engineer - Powertrain Engineering Controls & Calibration
Powertrain Engineering at CEVT is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. In the area, the Controls & Calibration unit is responsible for the development and industrialization of the controls for new powertrain systems. These systems are the main future and global technologies for the Geely Group. They range from present combustion engines into new energy concepts. The controls & calibration development is carried out in-house using state-of-the-art methods.
To strengthen our team for future challenges and projects, we are now looking for a System Engineer in Diagnostics.
You will be part of a strong team focused on leading cutting-edge technology development with the end customer in focus.
Role Summary
As Diagnostic System Engineer in Powertrain Engineering Controls & Calibration you are responsible for the system engineering in diagnostic related areas. You are working closely with the other functions in Powertrain Engineering, developing the next generation of powertrain controls for conventional and new energy powertrains.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Requirements elicitation, system requirements analysis, system architectural design
- System integration and integration test and system qualification tests
- Support in writing specifications on lower levels, e.g. on component level.
- Support the work with Transmission System Diagnostics.
- Convey the consequences and implications of Diagnostics to stake holders, in- and outside of the development team
- Follow the future legislation in the area and make sure we are compliant
- Provide basic trainings in the area for the team
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering or the equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience as a System Engineer
- Good Knowledge and years of experience with OBD diagnostics
- Some experience of transmission system and Functional Safety is desirable.
- Fundamental understanding of the development processes in Diagnostics, e.g. implementation, simulation, testing and troubleshooting.
- Meriting is knowledge in tools like Matlab, Simulink and C coding
Driven problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
- Be a good team player but also have the ability to work independently
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to travel
- Driver's license B
