We are looking for a Engineering & Implementation Manager for the Nordics, which is instrumental in ensuring that we are delivering solutions that enhance the internal and external customer experience.

Do you have a strong track record in conceiving & delivering implementation / improvement projects in the logistics industry? If so, then you might be ready for our Engineering & Implementation Manager role.

You will be responsible for managing & driving large new customer implementations projects for Automation / transformation projects for our 3PL warehouse and transport customers in close cooperation with customers, business development, solution design, operations, operations excellence and IT. Using the DPDHL internal management methodology you will ensure the successful delivery of project objectives using your operational and technical acumen.

The position will be based in Sweden, Stockholm, and reports to Head of Operations Excellence Nordics. Travelling within the Nordics is required.

Your main tasks include:

* Manage the overall engineering planning, control, status reporting, stability and delivery of projects to ensure project goals and objectives are met within agreed upon time, scope, budget and resource requirements
* Create and align detailed operational workflows and actively coordinate, lead and motivate the project team to support a successful implementation
* Build strong working relationships and transparent and objective reporting / alignment with stakeholders. Ensure delivery of communication to all stakeholders including project manager is well-structured and tailored to stakeholder needs.
* Be prepared to adapt / make changes to preconceived designs befitting the needs of the projects.
* Active risk management, early identification and resolution of issues, proactive scope control and change management
* Function as a subject matter expert in areas where project manager has lesser expertise (e.g. automation, logistics processes) are further key responsibilities of you.
* Be able to revise / update technical requirements, resource estimates, budget and operations workflow leading to support existing implementations from an engineering standpoint.
* Coach and conduct training sessions for site leaders / engineers on small to medium complexity projects in automation / innovation.

To succeed in this role we believe you have:

* At least 5-7 years experience in engineering / automation & /or implementation roles in logistics industry
* University degree in the field of logistics, business administration or equivalent
* Strong knowledge of Continuous improvement tools & lean management, Implementation and change management methodology
* Ability to lead and motivate a cross-country, multicultural team in a matrix/virtual environment
* Financial acumen and strategic foresight
* Customer centricity and ability to inspire customers and gain their commitment
* Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
