As a DevOp at Duego you will take on the role of maintaining / monitoring / setting up any *NIX based instances, as well as participating in creation of the software / services that run on these instances.
You will be a part of the on duty team and you will handle calls from our monitoring services notifying you that our API cluster is not meeting desired response time. You will also be the person that takes on the Scrum board post-it that says: "Add mail threshold handler using memcached".
You should crave for writing beautiful, efficient and maintainable API code to serve the Android and Web clients of Duego in accordance with an established contract between the clients and the API.
Desired skills & experience
• Object oriented development in Python (we use the Flask micro framework).
• We want you to have extensive experience in *NIX based system administration.
• System administration for large scale projects.
• Database cluster administration. Preferably MongoDB or some other NoSQL database.
• Development towards MongoDB or some other NoSQL database.
• Worked with, and liked, unit testing and automated system administration.
• Amazon (AWS) knowledge.
• Salt (Saltstack) knowledge. We use it to automate our system administration processes and deploy process.
• Go knowledge is not required but is a plus, since some of our scripts are written in Go.
