The Role

As a Design Engineer you will focus on turning good ideas into innovative and effective inhalation devices that make a real difference for the end user, the patient. You will work in a dynamic and creative team with a lot of freedom to test new concepts in our adjoining facilities.The design work will be done within one or more device projects. You will work closely with internal and external experts to ensure the optimal design of the devices.

Examples of responsibilities include:

* Perform design work using CAD systems such as Creo and Solid works
* Develop and perform tests for concept proof of princip.
* Perform design changes and release drawings for manufacturing, often for injection moulding.
* Provide technical direction, design solutions, material and tolerance proposals for inhalation device projects.
* Verify and validate the design to ensure that demands are met and that the risks are mitigated.
* Ensure that your design work follows the medical regulations and international standards
* Work closely with other AZ units in Sweden, Germany, UK or US as well as with suppliers such as design companies and injection molding manufactures.

Requirements

* MS or BS degree in Design or Mechanical Engineering or other relevant degree
* 5+ years of working experience within design engineering
* Good knowledge in the CAD system Creo and/or Solid works
* Experience and knowledge with plastic design for injection molding

Preferred Requirements

* Experience with development of medical devices
* Knowledge with tolerance, mould flow and/or failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
