3rd party & Tetra Recart equipment, within Equipment Engineering, D&T, is a dedicated team responsible for 3rd party & Tetra Recart equipment in our filling lines. Our machines operate all over the world with diverse and challenging demands on our equipment. To meet these demands our development teams must find simple, robust, and cost-efficient solutions to deliver customer value.
In the role as development engineer, you will have the opportunity to deep dive and develop within the area of thermal processing and package material interaction. The tasks include understanding and optimisation of the thermal process, building know how on package and package material interaction. In this role you can grow and develop capabilities in order to become our subject matter expert. You will participate in development activities, drive innovation and capability development as well as handling interaction with suppliers, putting requirements and giving input on equipment design and manage validation. Also, you will also be involved in customer support / issue resolution. The assignments you will have will include frequent interactions with other people and competence areas such as automation, test engineers, product owners, supplier management & Tetra Pak Services.
This position is based in Lund, Sweden. It is a permanent position, and you will report to the Manager 3rd Party Equipment & Tetra Recart.
The role includes business travel up to 15% of the time.
What you will do
As Development Engineer - thermal process, you will focus on:
Drive innovation and capability development.
Break down requirements into tangible engineering attributes.
Drive suppliers and solution evaluation including planning, requirements handling, design, validation, and documentation.
Supplier evaluation and selection together with other key stakeholders.
Be part of a scrum team with product ownership.
Support improvement of activities of existing portfolio (Product Development After Launch, PDAL)
Interact with broad range of stakeholders and manage communication related to your activities.
Solve customer issues and requests.
We believe you have
You are a person with a genuine technical interest, and you possess strong analytical skills, structure as well as a combined strong drive with a high commitment to quality. You have experience of different technical areas and have capability to manage suppliers. You manage contacts with other competences with ease, within as well as outside the company and you are a natural team player. Customer need is a top priority. Documentation of results and communication to governance forums will be required.
You have a university degree in Engineering e.g., in physics and at least a few years well documented experience from development or similar relevant experience.
You should be knowledgeable in thermodynamics, virtual engineering and understand automatic control technology.
It is beneficial if you have knowledge of thermal processing in the food industry.
You have experience of working in projects within given time and cost frames.
To be successful in the role you will need a good command of Swedish & English, both spoken and written.
