Our team works on a global level with all Tools production units to develop common methods, systems and software for CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) measuring of products characteristics. We are now looking for an ambitious and technically driven Development Engineer to join us in our goal of developing new technology and successful high-quality solutions that contribute to making Sandvik Coromant the number one supplier of future products.
The location for this position is in Sandviken or Gimo, Sweden.
Key performance areas
As a Development Engineer, you are responsible for developing and implementing common methods, tools and systems for our Tools production units and your work is conducted according to their requirements and needs. The results of your development support engineers globally to create efficient CMM programs, enabling measuring and manufacturing of future products. You also provide metrology knowledge within projects for development of new products, as well as following new techniques and the development of Industry 4.0 within metrology.
Travel is included in this position.

We are looking for someone with a degree in Engineering, preferably within production, mechanics, physics or materials. You have experience from working with production or technical development and knowledge of using metrology for geometric evaluations, preferably within the CMM area. However, an alternative to metrology experience could be experience from working with CAM programming or CAD design. Also, experience from statistics and programming in C or Java are considered advantageous. As we act in an international setting, you need to be fluent in English, in both speaking and in writing, while skills in Swedish are beneficial.
