DICE (EA Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment), the award-winning studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, is best known for creating the phenomenally successful Battlefield franchise, the Battlefront franchise, and the innovative game Mirror's Edge.

We work through our 4 guiding values: Passion with Purpose, Creative Innovation, Everything Quality, and One Community. We recognise that our people are the backbone and driving force to our creative products. As such, we are dedicated in providing everyone the ability to express, learn, and be their very best with a common cause.
The Director of Craft is the ultimate champion of How we Work to make amazing games. This role at DICE ensures the functional disciplines or "Crafts" have the best talent, culture, structures, and processes to deliver against our bold product vision. If anything gets in the way of this, the Director of Craft Excellence steps in and drive change to improve how the teams are working.
This role would solid line report into the Head of Development and dotted line in the most Senior Producers.
Responsibilities include
Drive strategic & operational projects that enable high performing people and teams (i.e. skill development, process improvement, tools & tech, culture change). In many cases, these areas of focus would be initiated by Studio Leadership and always fully sponsored by Studio Leadership.
Partner with Talent Acquisition and RMO to support decisions around resourcing, forecasting and hiring to achieve our Product & Studio goals and talent needs now and into the future (right mix of talent, skills, leveling). Enable the best, most streamlined onboarding process for our people.
Partner with the People Experience (PE) function to ensure PE processes are running at their best and meeting the needs of the Craft (Goal setting, performance management, talent planning, succession planning, compensation, recruitment, onboarding). Raise individual and team performance issues to PE and Studio Leadership and collaborate on plans to address them swiftly.
Define and deliver training strategies to build the knowledge and skills we need now and into the future.
Establish career progression as a priority within the craft through career development planning that enable people to realize career dreams.
Responsible for team health and engagement in the craft. Analyze attrition trends, develop mitigation plans to retain our great talent.
Foster strong Craft cultures and Craft identities ("I am an artist") by establishing the communication and collaboration touchpoints that bring the Craft org together (i.e. craft meetings, communication rhythm). Drive projects and initiatives that support DICE values and EA's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion practices. Promote studio and franchise wide collaboration.
Promote studio-wide collaboration, sharing and cross-craft culture.
Represent the craft to the broader studio and studio LT - ensure the craft's views, feedback and needs are raised and addressed.
