The unit "Digital ASIC" is based in Kista, Stockholm, and develops SoC ASICs, advanced FPGAs, TLM and SW Tools for Ericsson's Radio Base Stations. The products are highly integrated systems with extreme complexity in the latest technologies.

The applicants should be near to have a M.Sc. in System on Chip, Electrical engineering, Physics, Computer design or similar.

Apply for one or more thesis works described below and state it clearly in the application which of the thesis that you are interested in:

1. Memory Management Error Detection in Parallel Software using a Simulated Hardware Platform
2. Detecting Concurrency Problems in Parallel Programs using a Virtual Platform
3. Crest Factor Reduction using High-Level Synthesis
4. Partial configuration - CPRI LINKS
5. Power-aware SW development

Qualifications:

The student shall be close to the end of an appropriate Master program, e.g. Electrical engineering, System on Chip, Physics or Computer design.

Other qualifications:

• Genuine interest in ASIC/FPGA design or ASIC/FPGA verification or SW Design.
• Team player
• Fluent English
