Product Information, a department within Product Management and Research & Development, has the mission to leverage digital product information to improve our internal processes and differentiate our customer offer. We develop, supply and support the global organization with methods and tools to create information for world-class manufacturing solutions. The goal is to gain further synergies and operational excellence in a truly global R&D organization and meet the increasing need for data related to our products. We are now looking for a Design Method Developer to take on a flexible and central role in the creation of new information, development of our design methods and implementation of a common way of working. This is a great opportunity for you to build and extensive network in an innovative environment.
This position is located in Sandviken.
Key performance areas
In this position, you are involved in improving the efficiency of processes from development to production, with the aim to develop, implement and support methods and tools for efficient product development processes that enables automation and ensures recycling of the knowledge gained in the process. To achieve this, you use your skills to deliver structured and documented methods that fulfill the needs of our stakeholders, and you are in close contact with product development and production. Furthermore, developed methods and tools are introduced to the business by conducting training and workshops, and you act as a mentor to transfer knowledge to your co-workers in various product projects.
We are looking for someone with a degree in Science, preferably within mechanical engineering, or with equivalent experience gained from a working career. You have a profound knowledge of our CAD system NX and a good understanding of product development methods and tools. Experience from product development, product life cycle management and/or CAD/CAM/CMM/CAE operations are advantageous in this position, and since we work in a truly global organization, you have great communication skills in English - both written and verbal.
