We currently have the following job opening;
Design Engineers Transmission Components
The Powertrain Engineering unit at CEVT is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. The Propulsion Hardware Module Team is responsible for the development of new global transmissions from the early concept phase to industrialization. These transmissions will be the main technology for the Geely group. The development is carried out by several parties inside Geely Group as well as by external contractors.
As design engineer within Transmission Module Team, you will be responsible of developingcomponents such as clutch system, oil systems and shifting system according to system requirements. You will carry on the design from concept decision, throughreleases, testing and industrialization of the solution.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Design of components such as gears, shafts, differential, bearing/bushings, oil systems, forks, and internal plastic parts to meet system requirements
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing to get an optimized design
- Support the release routines and release plan
- Act as a technical reference in your field
Requirements
- BSc in Engineering or the equivalent experience
- 5 to 10 years' experience in mechanical design
- Experience of working in CAD, preferable ProE/Creo
- Experience of working in PLM systems, preferably Teamcenter
- Good knowledge in English
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture
- Ability to lead part development in a changing environment
- Ability to develop and apply solutions to complex problems
- Experience of transmission developments is a merit
