We currently have the following job opening;
Design Engineer Wheel Suspension, Wheels and Tires
We are looking for a Design Engineer responsible for various components within the Wheel Suspension, Wheels and Tires module team. You will be part of the team located in Gothenburg with persons from Sweden, China, Hungary, India etc.
As a design engineer you will develop components in our CAD/PLM systems, evaluate concepts and system solutions and you will drive the work towards system engineers according to requirements.
Our department creates the front and rear axle of cars including wheels and tires on several platforms which in next step are built into several different cars for several OEM brands. A lot of cooperation between design engineer and experts is required to get the correct properties in the cars behavior.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Balance attribute requirements (NVH, handling, Durability, braking) and technical requirements when creating new solutions
• Balance styling proposals against technical requirements and supplier process ability.
• Be responsible for the overall time planning for your work task.
• Release models and drawings in Team Center
• Change Management administration in CEVT Share Point and Team Center systems.
• Provide technical expertise
• Lead the component development from concept to handover point for industrialization team.
• Develop and design components and systems that meet requirements
• Secure packaging feasibility within given frames in accordance with the vehicle packaging engineers
• Support the defined release routines and release plans
Profile and Background
• Minimum B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Long Experience from Automotive Development and development of system and components within wheel suspension or wheels and tires. Proven history of releasing successful automotive components is important.
• Deep Knowledge in Catia V5, Team Center and Microsoft Office
• You have a positive attitude and interest in working in project teams and cross functional teams where you find solutions to complex problems together with other people/teams. You are willing to help others and to ask for help when needed.
• Have an openness and awareness of Asian, European and foreign cultures.
• You have an ability to work independently and take decisions to deliver according to targets and project plans in a changing environment.
• Experience of leading supplier work
• Driver's License Type B preferred
