We are searching for a Design engineer with deep technical interest to work with Sheet metal design.

Our section Closures operates within the department Painted Body & Closures. The section consists of around 85 persons and is divided into 4 groups, Door mechanics, Door structure, Sealing and Rear opening system. We are now looking for a Design engineer for the Rear opening system and Door structure team working in a new vehicle program.
As Design engineer you will work in engineering team where you will contribute with part design on system and component level. You shall create and proactively propose engineering solutions within our area, based on your knowledge and your dialog with main task responsible or project leaders. Your work will be with a high involvement from our colleagues from mechanical engineering regarding manufacturing feasibility. Complexity of work defers on your experiences and will grow through time. There are always open possibilities for development, depending on your interest, self-drive and your initiative. Position will be based in Gothenburg, Sweden and you will be reporting to group manager within Closure section.
Main responsibilities
Design sheet metal and plastic components using Catia V5
Create and lead the technical system development of our areas
Collaborate with design teams, manufacturing and other internal stakeholders
Create, prepare and release technical documentation
Perform benchmark activities and be able to efficiently use the knowledge
Required qualifications
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Mechanical engineering or other equivalent education
Experience on relevant positions
Documented experience in use of Catia V5
Good knowledge in sheet metal design and plastic design
Experience of product development
Analytical ability and technical interests
Fluency in English, spoken and written
Driving license "B"
Personal qualities

Interested in automotive industry, willing to learn and contribute with you knowledge
Maintain a positive attitude and ability to motivate and support people you work with
