hela Sverige We are looking for an experienced design engineer who wants to join us in the exciting challenge of developing the cooling system of our electrified vehicles!
The cooling system has a central role in electrified vehicles, for example enabling the fast charging of the batteries, making this a highly prioritized area within Scania with many exciting challenges ahead.
To meet the Scania future challenges, our organization is growing and we are looking for an experienced design engineer to actively contribute to this journey.
Our Team
Having onboarded the agile way of working, our teams are set up with scrum masters and product owners that you will be working closely together with. This gives you as a designer the opportunity to be well involved and to prioritise your everyday 's tasks. We use 10 week increments, divided into 2 week sprints, to plan and execute our strategy.
We have an open climate where we help each other and solve the most of the challenges within the team. We aim to work on an autonomous way where each team member feels the responsibility to participate to the development of the team.
Your assignment
Depending of your profile and work experience, your responsibility areas will be adjusted. In the coming increments, you will be enabling performance steps for our electrified vehicles, for example by the routing pipes and hoses along with designing brackets and other solutions to suspend them.
In our portfolio we have cast aluminium, moulded plastic parts and A/C media routing which are all subject to changes and new solutions in our coming internal projects, as well as in starting our active cooperation with MAN on common projects.
There is always a need for improving the cost-, weight- and performance properties of our products, therefore the use of simulation driven design through for example topology optimization and cost analyses is encouraged using tools like "Inspire" and "Apriori".
You will have contact with prototype suppliers and serial suppliers and insure that prototypes and serial parts are delivered at the right specification.
You will work hand in hand with your team members, as well as cross functional with production, purchasing and aftermarket to find the best technical solutions.
Our most experienced engineers will support you and will give opportunities to learn and improve your knowledge in the cooling system of the electrified trucks.
Your profile
• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering
• CAD-knowledge is a requirement, experience in CatiaV5 and Enovia
• Experience of Scania R&D development processes
• Design experience on one of the following areas : sheet metal, routing of pipes and hoses, casting
• Advanced English level
