Ålö AB, Sweden is the world leader in production and sales of agricultural front loaders and implements. The company has production in Europe, Asia and North America and our products are sold and marketed globally. You will be a part of a driven and ambitious team of approximately 35 engineers. The R&D department is located at our office in Brännland (Umeå), Sweden.
As a design engineer for control systems you will work with function and software development for our control units through model based dev. in MATLAB/Simulink and partly in C. You will have a leading role, closely associated to research projects, in our innovation of new control functions for the front loader application. We have a strong focus on quality and as parts of our control systems are safety critical, tasks related to process development, HW/SW toolchains and documentation should also be expected.
We believe that you have a relevant engineering master's degree with control systems design content. We also believe that you have work experience within this field. Due to the nature of our products, basic understanding of hydraulics is also a requirement and application experience of hydraulics is wished for. You should have a strong competence in the MATLAB/Simulink toolchain, including model based design, and certain knowledge in C-programming of real time systems.
Knowledge and experience within electronics, signal conditioning, metrology and sensor fusion is a benefit. Also, experience from relevant industries, such as automotive is beneficial.
As a person you are self-motivated, possess analytical skills and have an interest in solving technical problems. You have an ability to work on complex assignments where considerable judgment and initiative are required to achieve results. You are a social team-player with a positive attitude. We work globally and would therefore like to see that you have international experience. Fluent English is a requirement, if Swedish is not your native language, studies in Swedish in parallel to the employment is required
