The section Boosting & Exhaust systems is part of PPS (Propulsion Power System) and employs a total of 70 people in different roles. The section is responsible for the development and application of Boosting & Exhaust systems hardware for all Volvo Cars vehicles. Boosting & Exhaust systems consists of four development groups: Boosting Systems, Exhaust After treatment Diesel, Exhaust After treatment Gasoline and Exhaust Systems.

The <span style="color: black; line-height: 107%; font-family: "Arial", sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">group Exhaust Systems consists today of 16 people where you will be a valuable team-member. The group is responsible for the canning work of the hot end - catalysts and down pipe in all applications. We also have the responsibility of brackets to the hot end, Differential Pressure Sensor system (DPS) with pipes and sensor and Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor (EGTS). We are working towards a lot of interfaces - both internally and externally.

As a Design Engineer/Component Responsible you will have the lead and are responsible that parts are delivered during the project and over the lifetime. In this role you will be involved in design work as well as more project related items like time-plans and deliveries to different builds. In your daily work you will work closely with suppliers, manufacturing and internally with the Group Design Leader (GDL).

As responsible you will be working with a lot of interfaces. Internally you will have the responsibility that your part fit in the vehicle architecture, approved by manufacturing , report to group design leader and not to forget work together with the exhaust team.

You will also lead meetings with the suppliers and are responsible that they follow the technical guidelines and timing. One important area within the responsibility is to have all documentation well organized. The role will have a lot a freedom as long as you deliver as expected "freedom under responsibility".

For the right person there will in a couple of years be great opportunities to take on further responsibilities. We also work actively with personal development plans where your input is the most valuable. We will educate you in the areas where you do not have the knowledge. The most important is your attitude and that you have the willing to learn.

Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
* Design experience
* Experience working in Catia V5/TCe
* Fluent in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
