This position entails:
• Assisting the trading desk in broking of derivatives
• Execution of electronic as well as manual orders
• Entering orders and trades on behalf of clients
• Managing statistics and other administrative duties related to trading of derivatives
• Attending customer events
Today 8 people are employed at the trading desk in Stockholm. The desk serves the Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Finnish derivatives markets. We have daily contact with our members located all over Europe. The desk is specialized in trading block orders and derivative combinations. The Nordic derivative markets at NASDAQ OMX are in an expanding phase with a lot of new members joining us. Therefore we now need to expand our exchange broking desk.
This is a perfect way of learning the business of trading and broking of equity derivatives. It is also a way of getting to understand the perils and functions of derivatives, as well as an opportunity to learn new trading strategies and meet different participants in the marketplace. The group daily performs trades and transactions where high intensity and time is of the essence. The goal is that you within a year independently are able to work as a derivatives broker.
Qualifications:
• University degree in economics or similar
• Excellent language skills in written and spoken Swedish and English
• Computer skills in MS Office, especially Excel
• Knowledge and interest of financial functions and instruments
• Experience in customer oriented work is an advantage
• Great social skills
To suit this position you are an ambitious and highly self-motivated person. Furthermore you have excellent numeric skills and the ability to work under pressure while dealing with several varying pieces of information simultaneously.
This is a permanent full time position located in Stockholm. Working hours are scheduled mostly during normal office hours. Desired start date is as soon as possible. As the selection and interview process is ongoing, please submit your application as soon as possible.
