DEMAND AND SUPPLY MANAGER INSTRUMENTS
UPPSALA
We are now looking for a new colleague to join us as Demand and Supply Manager Instruments. You will be responsible for coordinating the demand/supply planning of instruments. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a strategy for the instrument supply. You will be in direct contact with commercial units globally and with the supplier of instruments. The activities relates to day-to-day & monthly SIOP process (lead the demand plan for assigned instruments, inventory balancing and reconciliation of demand & supply). This is a very independent and individual role but you will be part of a team of 12 people. You will report directly to the IDD Planning Manager and work within a matrixed global environment.
Your key responsibilities will be:
• Overall responsible for Instrument supply
• Develop and maintain strategy/plan for Instrument supply
• Coordinate forecast/demand from sales/market to supply of instruments
• Global inventory control of instruments
• Plan of handling the settlement of instruments of the market
• Reduce demand uncertainty by generating accurate forecasts based on historical and other pertinent information obtained by acting as a primary interface
• Lead the monthly demand review discussions for assigned instruments/regions
• Requirements switch to suppliers and marketing companies
We believe you have the following Experience/Qualifications/Qualities:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field. Equivalent experience can compensate.
• Some years of experience in Forecasting, Planning, Purchasing and inventory control experience in a manufacturing and/or global supply chain environment
• Direct work experience with inventory / planning / order management / ERP system experience: SAP preferred
• Strong analytical skills, detail and process oriented with strong business acumen
• Strong communication skills
• Self-driven and independent with little need for direct supervision
