Central Data Warehouse Support team is a new department to be established. The department will be closely involved in running and participating in projects together with business support. Today SKF have several Data Warehouses supporting different processes. The new support organization will be supporting all of the Data Warehouses, offering the entire SKF group a source of information to strengthen SKF's competitive edge by providing accurate information at the right time to support excellent decision making.
To strengthen our Central Data Warehouse Support team we are looking for a:
Data Warehouse Developer / Business Developer and Supporter
You will be involved in the design and development of the user interface and in the creation of end user reports. Short term the focus will be on Manufacturing related Data Warehousing but will over time include all processes like Purchasing, Logistics, Order, Inventory, Sales etc. You shall have good technical development skills (Cognos reports) but also have an interest in, and good understanding of, the business processes. Today we are mainly using Cognos (8 and 10 series) and this is the main tool to support and develop. Also there are projects that you will run, or be closely involved in, creating user applications to support all SKF processes and enhance the total SKF business and total market offer.
Key responsibilities:
• Be technical specialist on the DW tool within the support team
• Take part in the DW application development
• Responsible for the Report development in the DW support organization
• Build a strong user reference network globally
• Support SKF's global user community
• Developing the end user reports and user interface
• Organizing and implement the SKF report structure and governance
Competencies required:
• Cognos 8 and Cognos 10 report (and data mart) and cube development skills.
• Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse experience.
• Analytical, structured and planning skills.
• Good knowledge about SKF business processes is an advantage
• Experience in other BI applications than Cognos (e.g. Qlick view, SSAS, SSRS) is an advantage.
• Result oriented and self driven
• A good and open communicator.
• Good team working skills and project experience
• Interested in IT applications
• Fluent in English
The position holder will report to Karoly Fenesan, Strategic program manager - One Data Warehouse.
