The Corporate & Private Customers (C&PC) division is now strengthening the Data & Analytic Office further to accelerate the journey towards a more data driven and customer-centric bank. We are a team of 25-30 highly engaged and skillful data and analytics professionals, and we are expanding the team with Data Stewards focusing on different areas within the division.
About the job
As a Data Steward you will work with ensuring access to high quality data to generate value for the business and our customers. You will work closely with stakeholders from all parts of SEB to make sure that short-term and long-term objectives are met, and that data and data quality is an important part of processes, products and mindsets. You will be involved in all phases from creation to consumption of data and serve as an ambassador to inspire and facilitate.
Together with the rest of our Data Management Office, and development teams within the tribes, you will support C&PC in developing required data management capabilities and corresponding ways of working to secure SEBs ambitions to become a data driven company. You will also work very closely with the Data Owner, who is responsible for the defined Data Area, in implementing SEB's Data Governance model.
Here are some of the responsibilities that you will face in the role:
Secure that the data landscape is properly defined with relevant terms including metadata classification, anchored with key stakeholders and in relevant forums.
Be involved in developing and implementing process and ownership of data quality controls and the increased automation of controls and validations.
Collaborate with other Data Stewards to gain cross insights from other Data Areas.
Measure progress by following up on relevant KPIs, take actions needed.
Engage in SEB's tranformation, using change management methodology to enable a true data driven culture.
Secure that the data within the Data area is classified according to SEB Information Security policy.
Support key initiatives/projects as well as development of systems within relevant areas.
Who you are?
To succeed in your role, you need experience of working with data management. Hence you are expected to be familiar with development of essential data management capabilities such as data management strategy, data architecture, data control environment and data quality management, to name a few. In addition, you understand regulations that affect the data area and practical experience of information management systems, system architecture and data flows to support business processes. Basics in SQL and/or Python is highly valued. You understand and see the importance of having house in order when it comes to data, and you thrive on ensuring that data is understood, and working with data quality.
You have an education in Business and Economics, Engineering or another relevant field. Furthermore, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish. As a person you are result- and team oriented and have a strong drive to develop and push for great achievements in fast-changing complex environments. Other personal traits that are highly appreciated is a sense of curiosity, interest in how to work with data from a business perspective and to establish relationships with stakeholders both within our IT organization as well as within C&PC as well as other divisions within SEB.
