Digitalization and Service Design Unit introduces emerging technologies, leads demand and development needs, and secures realization of IT benefits VALUE in short and long term for Stora Enso. The unit offers a great opportunity to make a REAL difference with ICT technology.
We are now looking a person who will participate and lead advanced analytics' developments. The selected person will be responsible for total value chain transparency and predictive business steering in many business areas and developments.
Main responsibilities:
• Participating in data driven business transformation projects and proof of concepts
• Contributing to Innovation ideas and process
• The role will be to extrapolate data by using advanced computerized models, data cleaner, looking at the meaning of data and analysis of data patterns.
• Communicate the business value and capabilities of advanced analytics
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Ability to drive own pilots and projects
An advanced academic degree in a quantitative discipline (typically Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Machine learning)
• 1-4 years of work experience in analytical problem solving
• Strong knowledge in data mining, machine learning, statistical modeling, data visualization
• Extensive experience with analysis tools like R.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
• Experience of working with large data sets (Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Project management skills
• Fluent in English (Swedish or Finnish considered as a plus)
