In 2023, we are growing our teams and are on the lookout for more Data Scientists to join us. We are located in Stockholm and Helsinki and offer a flexible hybrid-remote working model.
Combient Mix works with some of the largest companies in Sweden and Finland that span a wide range of industries. As a Data Scientist, you will be able to apply your experience, skills, and creativity on a broad scale. You will have the opportunity to work with a diversity of domains including computer vision, time series analysis, natural language processing etc., and apply machine learning to solve a variety of problems from customer churn, predictive maintenance, dynamic pricing, demand forecasting, process optimization, to the Internet of Things (IoT) and large language models like ChatGPT.
Additionally, you will contribute with learning and mentoring in Combient Mix' learning and enablement programs 'Business Translator' and 'Applied Data Science Campus'. You will be a key part of a mission that enables thousands of qualified employees to use machine learning and advanced analytics across the Combient Mix customer network.

What you will do
Work on hands-on solving data science problems with our associated client companies.
Drive the translation of business problems to well-scoped and defined data science projects.
Contribute and continue to develop the existing Enablement programs Applied Data Science Campus and Business Translator, but also build and coach new enablement modules for machine learning and analytics.
Give lectures (mostly online) and provide mentorship within the Enablement programs.

Who you are
Experience in advanced analytics in a commercial setup with a track record of completing several projects.
Experience from and being comfortable with working on real-world data.
The ability to simplify and break down, often open-ended, complex problems.
Good understanding of software development, data engineering, and MLOps
Can collaborate with machine learning engineers to build reproducible, traceable, and scalable data science solutions.
Fluent in Python and SQL, familiar with notebooks environments such as Jupyter or Databricks
Experience of one or several of the following domains: time-series analysis, causality, and root-cause analysis, deep learning, computer vision, anomaly detection, NLP and pattern recognition.
Good understanding of data privacy and AI ethics.
See the value in building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders and have the ability to explain complex topics.
Good team player, driving collaboration and sharing best practices.
Be confident in running workshops and/ or presentations; internally and externally, on customer projects and in enablement programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Swedish or Finnish would also be beneficial in some of the customer projects.

It's a bonus if you have:
Experience in building scalable data science applications in the cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Technical experience with Git, MLFlow, TensorBoard, Spark.
Experience with digital product development.
Experience in working with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
Experience with consultancy or similar customer-interfacing roles.
Experience in supervising projects and mentoring of students.
Teaching experience, and interest and experience of online learning and pedagogics.

This role can be placed either in Stockholm or Helsinki.
