We are looking for an experienced data science lead to join our Business Analytics team in Telenor Sweden to establish and evolve data science competence and best practice in our organization. Telenor is rapidly heading towards the digital future and we are looking for people with a natural proactive drive who wants to make a difference. Together with our team of data scientists, you will drive the development of our data structures, implement DevOps practices in Machine Learning, and improve the efficiency with which our data scientists deliver value to stakeholders.
What you'll do
Data science is at the core of our business decisions. As a data science lead, you are responsible for business-focused Machine Learning and AI roadmap, supporting the data science team in establishing best practices for statistical analysis, development and deployment of models, as well as general knowledge sharing about data and analytics. You will also help to identify new opportunities for data science value creation and support our data platform team in making architectural decisions related to our cloud environment.
As a key ambassador for data science in Telenor Sweden, you will help to drive the data strategy of the organization and ensure that we make the right investments in talent and tools to stay at the forefront of analytics and machine learning. You identify and prioritize potential areas where ML and AI can increase efficiency or create a better customer experience and prioritize them in a Roadmap. In doing so, you will be at the center of collaboration between our EDW team, the cloud platform team, and the business stakeholders.
Who you are
As a data science lead, you are expected to have a strong understanding of statistics and data analytics, Machine Learning and AI best practices, including a good understanding of various tools and technologies used for the work of data scientists. You should further have experience in leading and supporting analytics experts.
Since you will be a key actor in defining our machine learning and data science architecture, we expect you to have a fundamental understanding of data lakes, APIs, as well as campaign systems. Understanding of distributed computing frameworks, such as Spark is further encouraged.
As part of your job will be hands-on data science, you should be comfortable producing high-quality analysis and presenting it to key stakeholders.
