We are hiring a data engineer for our small but growing Data & Analytics team at SeenThis. One of our main goals for 2024 is to foster a data-driven culture and product development. That is why you, along with the team, will truly have the opportunity to impact how we use our data!
In this role, you will work closely with our Lead Data Engineer, Magnus Friberg, and a Data Analyst. Collaborating across various departments, you'll handle commercial, financial, and product data to create a holistic and inclusive data environment.

The data
SeenThis generates a lot of interesting data that we want to utilize in a more sophisticated way to optimize our services. For example, we measure product and technology performance with data points such as video metrics, impressions, and data transfer efficiency, which, in the long run, could be used to help lower our customers' carbon footprint.
Our monthly data preprocessing volume is far from ordinary. One of our key data warehouse tables alone streams over 50 billion data points each month, and this number is continually rising. Therefore, proficiency in crafting efficient SQL statements would be highly advantageous. ;)
The tech
Most of our workflows are developed using Python and SQL, with data orchestration handled through Docker and Kubernetes all within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Initially, your primary task will involve creating ETL workflows that integrate with Microsoft's Web API. Remember that you don't need to know all the tools from the start, and that personality and potential eat a heavy resume for breakfast!
About you
Since this role involves collaborating with different teams and departments, effective communication and the ability to understand and interpret the organization's needs are important. We believe that you have gained experience in a similar role, but most importantly, a curiosity and interest in data and a thirst for learning more!
