Will you take part in building a data-driven and personalized user experience in one of Sweden's largest commercial media houses?
TV viewing patterns have changed with the transition from linear channel broadcasts to online streaming consumption, where users have become more active in choosing when, how and what content they watch. This digital consumption has enabled many possibilities for better user experience while simultaneously improving our advertising business.
TV4 Medias data team works on various projects in this area, including:
Personalized user experiences and recommendations
Detecting anomalies in our services
Forecasting of advertising opportunities
Provision a centralized and modern data environment for analytics data-driven features

To achieve this, we identify, collect and harmonize vast amounts of data; ranging from user's online behavior to content metadata.

We are a team of Data Engineers and Data Scientists who have worked to build a rich data platform using modern technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Apache AirFlow, Apache Beam, TensorFlow, BigQuery, Kubernetes, Terraform, and more!
We have great freedom under responsibility and choose our solutions according to the problem to be solved, such as data cleaning and transformation in Java or scheduling and orchestration in Python. We work together and iteratively develop our solutions and openly discuss different alternatives. We are now looking for a driven data engineer who loves programming and new technology, and has a passion for data pipelines.
As a Data Engineer you will assume great ownership of the platform, develop batch and stream pipelines and architect data centric solutions with Googles state of the art toolbox at your disposal. If you want to be part of our TV journey, come join us!
Is this you?
We believe that you are comfortable in Python and/or Java, SQL and modern software development methods
You want to stay up to date on how the languages develop, and at the same time want to learn new skills and tools
You like challenges such as loading large amounts of data in a time-optimal and distributed way, handling data of unknown quality in a fail-safe way, secure processing and storage of sensitive data, or clever transformations that make data more useful
You like working in teams, both during the design, development and verification of a solution. If you already have knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and/or building data pipelines, that is a big plus!
