We are now looking for a Demand Planner stationed in Eskilstuna.
The assignment is fulltime, expected start is the end March and it will last until the end of September 2014
In this role you are responsible for maintaining the demand history and performing forecasting on products and segments. Which requires a deep understanding of Mathematics and Inventory management.
Understanding of the importance of correct master data and ability to interact effectively with other functions and regions will be critical for this role.
The ability to take correct decisions based on analysis and experience combined with actual data entry in a timely manner is key to achieving the objectives of this position.

• Maintain demand history.
• Identify and rectify forecast according sales variations.
• Handle manual safety stocks.
• Search for and use market and /or assortment information valid for future demand.
• Identify products and assortments where additional forecast activities are needed.
• Continuous improvements to reduce variations in demand and to have as correct forecast as possible.
• Continuously analyze product number sales variations due to factors like seasonal behavior, exceptional sales, inventory deviations, etc. and update parameters accordingly
Utbildning/erfarenhet
Background and competencies
• University degree within logistics, mathematics/statistics.
• Forecasting and statistics skills and experience is needed.
• Ability to perform complex logistic analysis, analyze simulation results and converge different planning parameters.
• Excellent knowledge in logistics and stock management both practical and theoretical
• English (Fluent)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Very good knowledge in the Microsoft office package, specifically excel.
• Ability to work independently as well as in team
• High level of Initiative and Drive.
Good knowledge in the complete supply chain from Customer to Supplier both from a process point of view and also from a systems point of view.
