JOB DESCRIPTION
As Customs Administrator you will be responsible for the daily customs responsibilities including import and export requirements for shipments handled by Axis Communications AB. You will advise customs brokers or freight forwarders of correct HS Code to be utilized for Axis Imports.
Your main activities will include:
• Interface with customs brokers and logistics service providers to insure proper declarations and classifications are provided at the time of import.
• Manage and maintain an organized record keeping system for import transactions, export transactions, Free Trade Agreements, Drawbacks and other programs according the importing country's recordkeeping requirements.
• Control of Customs invoices
• Participate on Customs Audits and special projects as assigned.
• Analyze import and export data and provide any reports as required for follow up of import/export activities.
• Work with other Customs team members to maintain proper classification records and advise Customs brokers/internal Axis Contacts of any updates if required.
• Keep updated information on current requirements or updates related to Customs.
• Record Keeping responsibilities
• General administrative duties.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We believe you have an university degree in Economics, Accounting or Customs Compliance and minimum 3-5 years experience working in a similar assignment. You have knowledge about import and export requirements both for EU and USA.
You have the ability to analyze and control invoices and report findings and you are an advanced user working with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook and Word).
Furthermore we believe you communicate well in English, both verbally and orally. You have demonstrated ability to show initiative and continual improvement. You are also a detailed oriented and open minded team player as well as a flexible, organized and a self-learner.
THE AXIS LOGISTIC TEAM
The Axis Logistics team has the main responsibility for movements from the different configuration centers in Lund, Hungary, Thailand and USA. Additionally Logistics, through the Customs Team, is responsible for the proper import of our products at locations where Axis is the Importer of Record. Our main interfaces are within the Order Department, Shipping, Purchasing, as well as other staff within the different Configuration Logistic Centers (worldwide), Customs Brokers and End Customers. This position has several international interfaces but also has local responsibility.
