We have an exciting opportunity within Cummins Sweden for Power Generation Commissioning Technician.
Key Responsibilities: (Must include relevant responsibility for quality as per Cummins Quality Policy)
Administration: Carry out all aspects of Commissioning. Preparation of method statements, cable/wiring/terminating interfaces and schedules as required. Provide detailed reports as required.
Survey Job Site: Attend site and check installation in readiness for commissioning. Report findings to the relevant Project Manager.
Quality: Ensure all equipment is complete and correctly built to specification and is installed as per drgs and to Cummins Power Generation recommendations.
Commissioning: By safe means and to a planned schedule, carry out the progressive energisation of the system, proving to the client's engineers or representatives that the equipment functions in accordance with the design requirements.
Handover: Provide witness tests at site as required for all equipment functions, demonstrate operation and obtain relevant handover signatures. Provide training to the clients designated representatives.
Liason: Attend internal/external meetings to liase with the client's representatives and in-house Departments.
Sales Support: Electrical and software design in support of both sales and installation works. Attendance and support, where required, at pre-contract meetings, to support the sales effort.
Amount of travel expected within the role 60% - 80%.
Flexibility with travel to support other parts of the business/region as per the actual business needs.
Experience Required:
The successful applicant would have operated in a similar role within the Power Generation Industry.
Education/qualifications required (classify as essential and optional):
Technical/ Electrical qualification. (Essential)
High Voltage Certified.(Preferred)
Applicant must be PC literate.(Essential)
Applicant must be PC literature (Essential)
Knowledge of English and local language (Swedish) is required to allow smooth communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
Valid driving licence.
