Overview
We are now seeking a Controlling Director to Away from Home Region North!
The Controlling Director Region North is responsible for analyzing the financial performance of the Region against predefined targets and is challenging corrective actions to improve performance of the region. The role coordinates financial controls including all aspects of profit center accounting and control, cost and operation analysis, administrative systems and procedures in adherence with prescribed corporate policies.
In this function, you are pro-actively monitoring the development of all commercial markets of the Away from Home Region North. You will provide financial insight into the Regional Management Team and come up with suggestions and actions to improve business performance and evaluate financial plans. The coordination and steering of the budget and forecast process is your responsibility. Besides securing the monthly and quarterly reporting you will develop and adapt financial follow-up forecast routines and inputs and working processes to business needs.
In this role you will act as the economic adviser and sounding board for the Vice President Sales and Marketing and members of the Region North Management Team.
You can count on the support of local controllers and together with them you will secure the quality of the monthly result, working capital, forecasts, investment requests, statistics, costs, and bad debts, among others.
You will report to Vice President Sales and Marketing. The position is preferably located at one of our larger hubs in Europe.



Main Tasks
Monitors and follow-up of the respective Region performance and deviations and drive corrective actions if necessary
Challenges and supports the Management Team in all financial aspects (operational and strategic) as the Controlling Business Partner by providing insights to the full financial value chain
Process annual budget and quarterly forecasting
Monthly consolidation of the region financials (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Maintains the interface to the Business Unit Controlling network and to Global Business Services
Participates in the Business Unit Controlling Network, e.g. to drive best practice within finance and controlling
Drives and supports business improvement projects and business process re-engineering within the region and the network
Captures stakeholder demands and drives financial awareness and understanding
Follow controlling standards and other SCA policies such as MICR and legal regulations
Leading by coaching and developing the competencies of your direct reports

Key Competencies
University degree in relevant discipline (preferably in Business and Administration)
Extensive experience in Business or Financial Controlling roles
Local controlling knowledge is essential, either in sales & marketing or supply chain
Analytical mind-set with the ability to understand and interpret figures and make recommendations to senior management
Strong influencing and problem solving skills
Strong business acumen and strategic agility
An enthusiastic and stress resistant team player
Business driven and high interest to drive business improvements
Very good communication and networking skills through all levels of the organization in a multi-cultural environment
Fluent (both written and spoken) in English
Excellent knowledge of Excel, SAP; general high IT affinity
