• Work close to the business and act like a business partner. You will be responsible for the operational reporting and financial follow-up of various departments (analysis of results for different business areas/projects, result variances explanations, monitoring of margins).
• Be involved in budget and forecast.
• Communicate and follow-up business targets aligned with the Group strategy and analyze KPIs to monitor profitability.
• Be part of the closing process (turnover consistency check, bonus calculation, accruals checks) and guarantee reliable figures.
• Develop and maintain the Information System used by the controlling department
• Work on Ad-hoc analyses.
• Support the controlling team in the usage of advanced excel functions
Are you a highly motivated Controller with previous experience within controlling and/or information systems? Are you interested in working in a fast-paced international environment? Then we have the perfect job for you! ALTEN is looking for a controller to our headquarters in Gothenburg.
In the role as Controller, you will be part of our Finance unit, which consists of four departments with 37 employees. You will be part of a controller team of six people and will report to the controlling manager.
To be considered for this position we expect you to have:
• A master degree or equivalent in business administration or similar.
• 1-3 years of controlling experience from finance functions in medium to large companies / organizations and if possible in an international environment.
• Experience from financial planning and reporting as well as follow-up of business performance.
• Experience in implementation of ERP and/or business intelligence system.
• Good communication skills
• Fluent English and Swedish in speech and writing.
• Very good knowledge of Excel and good ability to handle large amounts of data.
To be successful in the position you will need to have an interest in information systems and have good analytical skills. For us the most important thing is not your previous controlling experience but that you are motivated and skilled in excel and information systems. Previous experience from audit companies is meritorious. As a person, you are driven and determined with a strong interest to learn and share ideas. You are flexible and open for changes. Furthermore, you are well structured and have strong problem solving skills.
