hela Sverige PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Work with safety related activities within the propulsion control and protection system for trains.
The role is an integral part of a software development team and an interface to the HW team. The job includes formal safety activities in order to enable Bombardier to prove it adheres to relevant safety standards, for both product and specific deliveries. Tasks involve to maintaining and developing safety SW and HW architecture, quality assurance plan, configuration management, change management and SW release management, as well formal analysis and traceability matrices. All activities are part of an overall safety plan that shall result in general product as well as specific safety cases.
Coordination with the safety department in Västerås about concept and requirements is part of the job. Further coordination with colleagues in Germany and Switzerland require good communication skills. Communication with external assessors is part of the job.
Knowledge and understanding of embedded systems (HW and SW) is required. Experience from safety, quality assurance, tool validation, and other safety applications are highly beneficial. Provided right applicant, this job shall lead to a safety manager position. The work will include coordination and leading colleagues in other locations and might require limited travel.
YOUR ROLE
• Analyse and drive handling of safety for product;
• Coordinate safety activities;
• Ensure fulfilment of safety cases while ensuring a high standard;
• Support team members in safety aspects;
• Develop safety processes and plans to support efficient work;
• Review of technical solutions and documentation;
• Perform internal safety audits;
• Validation and assessments.
• Education: PhD or Master degree in Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics or equivalent;
• Minimum 3 years of functional safety;
• Experience from safety critical applications;
• Good ability to both read and write technical documentation;
• Problem solving skills, team player, good communication skills;
• Fluent in English and preferably in Swedish;
• Experience from entire chain; from functional safety requirements to validation is beneficial;
• Experience from MATLAB/Simulink (or similar tools) and code generation in safety critical applications is beneficial;
• Experience from safety critical applications and/or EN50126/28/29 (or other related standards such as ISO26262, IEC61508 etc) is beneficial.
