Department 4214 Service Monitoring Gothenburg
The department is responsible for monitoring, support and development of the platforms currently being used. Our operational area includes servers, clients and communication services. We are responsible for monitoring and support of more than 1000 applications, of which many are global and are running on various platforms. Among our largest customers are the Volvo Group, Volvo Cars, City of Stockholm and Skandia.
Our group is responsible for monitoring/technical support of servers and networks within the ROC Göteborg area. Our customers are global and aim for access to their IT systems round the clock. The service therefore involves shift work. Among the areas we handle are Mainframe, Open VMS and Windows.
Job description:
You will be part of one of our shifts, with responsibility for:
• monitoring and technical support of our operational and application environments
• ensuring, with the shortest possible lead time, that operational disruptions are corrected and prevented working proactively with our internal and external customers with the aim of boosting efficiency and improving quality, providing information to our customers in the event of disruptions
The shift is staffed by 6 people, all of whom work on a shift schedule. Weekend work is included in the schedule.
Competence requirements:
• you should have a suitable college/university education within the field of IT
• you should have a customer-oriented and responsible approach to your work
• you should be attracted by challenges and be keen to take the initiative if problems arise
• you should be a person with general skills and with the ability to work in a group
• you should be able to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• you should have a driver's licence for a car
It is an added merit if you also have:
• knowledge of and experience from our platforms
• previous operational experience from Volvo and our environments
• experience from shift and support work
• experience from project management
