The Global Competence Development function within Global Parts & Services secures, in close collaboration with the Business Units and Geographical Growth Areas:
Coordination of the training development in the service market.
The scope for this function is product and process related training to our dealers, Using the latest digital platforms available such as Virtual Reality, we meet the demands from our customers

Mission/purpose
The Competence Development Specialist is responsible for our competence development packages such as presentations, e learnings and video content at Global Competence Development department.
The mission for this role is to create, develop and maintain global standard training courses for our external business partners as well as other Volvo Penta trainers and employees worldwide.

Main Responsibilities
Work together with our projects to design the training courses for new products being introduced into the market.
Gather and structurer information to build excellent competence packages and assist in building e-learning modules and information videos.
Develop and document the critical hands-on equipment, activities and tools needed during the course to ensure proper diagnostic steps are understood by the students.
Hold Train-the-Trainer activities to train others on how to deliver the newly developed courses, and then assist regionally for the first classes.
Revisit training courses on existing products/processes to combine best practices into new, updated courses and the related diagnostic activities to be performed in class.

Qualifications
We are looking for a focused and engaged person with high technical competence within Marine electronics and systems, such as Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) and our Penta IPS systems.
Knowledge in diagnostics and fault tracing processes
You should have very good communication and pedagogical skills and an understanding of adult learning styles. Further, you are well organized and set realistic goals that are in line with the objectives of the organization. You work well both independently and in teams to get the task done.

Other Critical Competences
Fluent in English, verbally and written
Being comfortable presenting technical training to others.
Solid MS office skills
Field and/or technical support experience is desired
Good understanding of the service market business
We are looking to develop our technical training offerings to a higher standard. To achieve this, we are looking for a competence development specialist with a strong drive for quality and continuous improvement.
