We are looking for a Communication Manager for Growth Center Treatment, which provides the product under the Leopold, Sanitaire, Wedeco and Flygt for mixers brand, which treats and clean our drinking water. The Communications Manager will have the primary responsibility managing leadership activities and content development and global product launches in close collaboration with Xylem's product managers. You will lead communication projects within the business unit and work both strategically, advisory and operationally.
This position is part of Growth Center Transport &Treatment's global communications department and you will be placed at Xylem 's office in Sundbyberg, Stockholm, Sweden. The role involves travelling, mainly within Europe and North America.
Essential duties and responsibilities:As a Communication Manager, you will provide continuous strategic advice to senior executives in Treatment, thought leadership and support product launches. In addition, you will support and drive internal communications within the business unit and its internal network, ensuring that they comply with the business unit's strategic agenda.
Key responsibilities includes:
* planning, development and management of all strategic communication in the field of content creation for product launches thought leadership activities and product branding
* manage media requests and drive media programs within the leadership business unit
* work closely with product management framing value propositions and content creation for the introduction of new products and provide information for product portfolios
* work closely with the regional campaign managers to drive product launches within the regions
* manage and plan leadership activities in close collaboration with shareholders, such as corporate executives, regional and corporate communications and commercial teams to ensure that they meet business goals and perform professionally and efficiently
* develop content for seminars, prepare presentations, support lobbying activities In addition, you will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships among key internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with Xylem's direct and indirect market organization to get an understanding of local opportunities and challenges in reaching audiences with important messages.
To be successful in the role, you need to ensure that all communication activities are performed within Xylem's branding guidelines and the overall communication strategy globally.
Background and personal qualities
We are looking for a candidate with a university degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or equivalently. You have at least seven years of experience within corporate communication in a global company on a strategic and operational level. Since you will be working in a commercial and technical environment, experience from a global industrial or technology-intensive company is preferable. You have a strong ability to understand business issues or needs and translate them into strategic communications plans.
Excellent skills in English oral and written, are essential in the role. Fluent in Swedish is a plus.
