hela Sverige As commodity buyer in Västerås, you will be part of the team sourcing material to products and projects run from Västerås. You will be responsible for a number of different commodities that all are part of the propulsion system. As a commodity buyer, you will be involved from bid phase and on to project phase; evaluating, choosing and negotiating with suppliers and work with other functions to find the right cost level. You will also follow the performance of the suppliers and drive improvement programs and claims.
Your ROLE
Being involved in the bid phase; finding the right suppliers and prices within your scope. ;
Evaluate both potential and existing suppliers.
Actively take part in commodity networks led by global lead buyers and provide input to commodity strategies;
Establish Requests for Quotations (RFQ's) including commercial and technical requirements, evaluate and select suppliers' offers and negotiate contracts.
Managing contracts for risk management, claims and conflict resolutions.
Manage the commercial relationship with suppliers in line with the global strategies.
Develop long term supplier relationships through regular performance reviews and continually drive cost improvements.
Engineering or Commercial Degree with commodity related background complemented by a demonstrated track record of success;
5-8 years of experience (in Procurement, Commercial and/or Project Management) with technical and operational expertise;
Solid technical knowledge of the different systems and materials used in our business,
Strong analytical skills and continuous improvement skills;
English at a fluent level is mandatory (both written and speaking).
