hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Borgen 2 British International Scho, i Danderyd The British International School of Stockholm invites applications from experienced, creative Primary Teachers to join our dynamic team to cover maternity leave from January 2016 for a year. This would be for a Year 4 age class (8 and 9 year olds).
The British International School of Stockholm is situated on two sites in the leafy residential suburb of Djursholm, just 15 minutes from central Stockholm. It provides a high-quality, broad education for up to 500 children, from 3 to 16 years of age (currently to 14, growing year on year up to 16 by 2017) and from more than 45 nationalities. BISS is a vibrant and highly successful school which meets internationally recognised standards of excellence, and is an accredited member of COBIS (Council of British International Schools).
We use the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) together with the UK National Numeracy and Literacy Strategies to provide high quality learning opportunities from Nursery to Year 6. We will be using the International Middle Years Curriculum from Year 7 to Year 9 and Cambridge IGCSE courses for Years 10 and 11.
All applicants must:
be fluent English speaking
have full Qualified Teacher Status (UK BEd or PGCE, or the equivalent recognised teaching qualifications from other countries).
have a minimum two years' teaching experience
be eligible to live and work in the EU.
The candidates should also possess the following qualities:
a track record of improving and having a positive impact on Children's learning
drive, energy and enthusiasm
a flexible team player with good interpersonal skills
the ability to work independently
a high standard of ICT skills
a willingness to contribute to extra curricular activities and general school life
experience of UK Numeracy and Literacy Strategies and recent education initiatives
knowledge of the International Primary Curriculum would be an advantage
