Swedbank Group IT is located in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. We are 1560 employees responsible for running the bank, developing and maintening business strategic and central systems in Swedbank. All development is managed in projects and we deliver approximately 600 projects and pre-studies during a business year. Through understanding and acting from the needs of our internal customers, we offer the group competitive IT-solutions which support new products and high level services to our clients.
Swedbank is recruiting a key executive, a CIO/CTO, to strategically lead the Swedbank Group's IT initiatives and secure delivery of IT that is on top of technology trends. Swedbank Group IT is the largest buyer of IT services in the Nordics with a clear and direct linkage to how Swedbank is perceived by their customers. Group IT has 20 % of the operative costs in the bank and provides IT services to 64 independent banks. In parallel we're also recruiting a Head of Group IT reporting to the CIO/CTO. The placement of the position is at the Stockholm HQ and will be a part of the management team for Group Business Support, reporting to Head of Group Business Support. The CIO office consists of approximately 50 people and the entire IT organization employs 1500 people.
As CIO/CTO you must have the ability and capacity to continue to drive Swedbanks strategy of finding synergies within the bank through integrating new technology in the group's IT-services and creating a strategic platform for developing the best solutions for Swedbank's customers. IT is vital in order for Swedbank to deliver cost effective and innovative solutions to their customers and the CIO should lead the way and take advantage of those synergies available within the group IT-services. Your main responsibility will be to own and manage all IT, both results, efforts and technology. You will be responsible for the strategic plan concerning both the technology and the IT-systems that support Swedbank's overall business goals. The challenge is to balance long term strategy and growth with short term goals and to build a lean IT and group organization.
The CIO/CTO will contribute by formulating strategic goals and create and lead the way of finding synergies within the bank through integrating the group's IT-services. You will build a strategic platform for developing the best solutions for Swedbank's customers and drive change within the business. As CIO/CTO you're expected to be an active and contributing member to the management team of Group Business Support and a strong leader of our CIO office.
You have a solid experience from leadership and management in IT, delivering business value and cost effective IT services, programs and projects. You've had prominent role in leading strategic IT and experience from implementing strategies, architecture, governance, development and new technology in relation to business result and customer value. And most importantly you're a strong leader with the ability to engage and inspire your organization. You have an academic degree and you're fluent in English.
