Operator Systems & Connectivity is a function within Volvo CE - AE&Core Technologies with a mission to deliver outstanding Operator Experience solutions for our products across the globe.
Our HVAC system ensure excellent climate and our air filtration systems ensure clean air at right temperature. The technology shift to Electric machines will require new HVAC solutions and the refrigerant circuit will become a vital part of the Thermal Management system to keep batteries and fuel cells at an optimal temperature. To manage this shift in a successful way it will be of crucial importance to develop future proof and reusable platform solutions.
We are now setting up a new global platform program for HVAC and are looking for a Chief Project Manager Global HVAC Systems to lead, coach and inspire this team to great achievements. If you enjoy coaching, collaboration and problem-solving together with highly skilled professionals, this is the position for you!
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for a cross-functional project team whose task is to deliver the next generation of HVAC solutions with the right quality, functionality and cost. You will be a member of the Operator Systems & Connectivity leadership team and contribute to the continuous development of the whole organization. Since the team is expanding you will have a great opportunity of being part of building your team and participate in the recruitment of team members. You will also be deeply involved in defining the future HVAC strategy and to build strategic collaborations with partners both internally such as Volvo Trucks and Buses and external suppliers.
Who will you share your working days with?
You will be part of a diversified and dynamic team with a mix of different genders, personalities and nationalities. The global HVAC team is mainly situated in Sweden, Korea and Poland.
Who you are?
You have a strong drive and leadership skills and ability to inspire teams and coordinate project deliveries. You have a positive can-do attitude, and you have the structure and organizational skills to plan project deliverables as well as strategic roadmaps. You probably have experience from project management or similar roles in conventional or agile project models.
You don't necessarily have a deep technical expertise in HVAC systems, but you probably have a technical background in relevant field as Master, Bachelor or corresponding education. Knowledge and experience in various system development is a merit. Willingness and interest to learn about HVAC systems is a must.
Good proficiency in English spoken and written is a requirement since the project will operate in a global and multicultural environment and with a global team.
