hela Sverige Volvo Group Telematics (VGT) is hosted by Volvo IT and is a newly formed global organization within the Volvo Group providing telematics off-board services. Volvo Group Telematics enables & accelerate customer-oriented off-board telematics service development & delivery. VGT supports the Volvo Group whilst the WirelessCar brand is used to support external customers in the Automotive Car OEM segment such as BMW and Audi.
In general, IT architects have a responsibility for ensuring the completeness (fitness-for-purpose) of the architecture, in terms of adequately addressing all the pertinent concerns of its stakeholders. Understand and interpret requirements - listen to information, influence people, facilitate consensus building, synthesize and translate ideas into actionable requirements, articulate those ideas to others.
The Infrastructure Architect participates in the discovery and documentation of the customer's business scenarios that are driving the solution. Ensures integrity of the architecture, in terms of connecting various views to each other, satisfactorily reconciling the conflicting concerns of different stakeholders, and showing the trade-offs made in so doing (as between transactional integrity and performance, for example).
The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for creating viable infrastructure solutions that fulfil the needs of the stakeholders and that comply with strategies and standards. You will also be working with balance quality attributes such as functionality, security, availability, maintainability and performance
Your work will be focussed around our existing and future infrastructure needs used to provide the Telematics applications for our customers. Our infrastructure is hosted globally at various sites emphasizing the need for commonality and compliance with our requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
For this position you need to have experience in following areas:
• 5 years practical experience as an infrastructure architect
• Experience of working in large and complex infrastructure projects
• Detailed knowledge of IT infrastructure components
• Proven hands-on experience operating complex environments with high availability and performance requirements.
• Knowing which components work and which solutions actually deliver.
• Comprehensive knowledge of application development
The general qualifications are that you have suitable academic qualifications and real life experience and that you are a communicative team-player. You have to have the ability establish and maintain good relations and also have the ability to work in global, multi-cultural organization. You must be able to quickly immerse yourself in the customer business requirements and map this to relevant infrastructure solutions.
You also have to be proficient in both spoken and written English and Swedish.
