Starting date: According to agreement
During the year of 2008 Lund University School of Aviation, L.U.S.A, plan to begin to train our first students toward receiving a Multi-crew Pilot License and the future students will graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree.
This is a complete and focused education that fulfils the present and future market demands of pilots.
The activity at L.U.S.A. demands formal competence, education and experience from the Chief Flight Instructor, CFI. To facilitate the entrance, the appointed CFI will have the possibility to work alongside our present CFI for a period.
Organizationally the CFI is responsible for the Head of Training of the operational activities at L.U.S.A. CFI is a part of the management group.
Eligibility requirements
Formal demands for the appointment are:
a) Possess - CPL, IR, ME and ATPL-theory, a merit is the possession of ATPL
b) Possess CRI (SE/ME), IRI, a merit is the possession of SFI and TRI
c) have completed 1 000 hours pilot-in-command flight time of which a minimum of 500 hours shall be on flying instructional duties related to the flying courses conducted of which 200 hours may be instrument ground time)
The CFI shall be responsible for the supervision of flight and synthetic flight instructors and for the standardisation of all flight instruction and synthetic flight instruction.
Assessment criteria
• Experience of management and to organize
• Ability to cooperate
• Airline experience
• Administrative skills and experience of long term planning
• Computer knowledge in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• God knowledge of BCL and JAR-FCL
• Higher education
• Experience of tutoring
• Connections within the aviation branch
Apart from this, we appreciate the capability to be straight and structured. Also to have an open and honest attitude to your surroundings, have the capability to motivate your co-workers and to be able to create team spirit is desirable characteristics. It is necessary to have communication skills; both written and verbal, in Swedish and in English.
