Thule Group are searching for an innovative and brave Chief Engineer Tooling with experience of design and development of sheet metal forming tools to lead and take our Tool Design team to an even higher level.
As Chief Engineer Tooling you are responsible for tooling technology for all internal sheet metal forming tools used within Operations at Thule Group's site in Hillerstorp, Sweden.
Together with your team, consisting of three dedicated tool designers, you will develop and implement smart tooling solutions to assure a stable and cost effective production process for sheet metal components. You will support the teams within Production Engineering and Product Development with your expertise in tooling and sheet metal forming issues as well as challenge Product Development on manufacturing-friendly designs on sheet metal components.

The ideal candidate is a comfortable leader and team player who is not afraid to challenge established ways of working. Your systematic approach, strong communication skills and goal orientation are other key factors in your personal profile. You have a degree in mechanical engineering and solid experience and proven success from working with design and development of sheet metal forming tools, as well as fluency in both Swedish and English.
