Position description:
We are looking for an Engineer to work within the Health and Safety department as a Chemical coordinator in the area of Occupational Health and Safety and Work environment. The work is done in some extend in collaboration with other departments, mainly Quality and Production in Trollhättan. We are working with continuous improvement of our ways-of-working, and this role will be part of that work.
The role involve following work tasks:
• Maintenance and updating of chemicals in the chemical database Chemsoft.
• Keep in training for the Chemsoft Coordinators.
• Monitoring of new legislation.
• Advice in the work of substitution of chemicals.
• Initiate and carry out risk assessments
• Verify that laws and regulations are followed in the field of chemicals, work environment area.
• Responsible for carrying out an annual company-wide inventory of chemical products.
• Lead the Chemicals Group and support the chemical issues
• Participate in the company's safety and environmental walks
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
• Preferably civil engineer education in the field of Chemicals
• Trained in performing risk assessments in the field of chemical handling
• Competence in the current occupational health and safety legislation, REACH and, in part, SEVESO.
• Experience and trained in the field of occupational health and safety and Chemical coordination
• Fluent in English both spoken and written
• Ability to plan and prioritize and also delegate tasks
• Working in a structured and organized way
• Flexible to a changing work tasks
• Driver license B
