Do you love challenges? Do you have a passion for product development and like to work in a global work environment with experienced colleagues from different cultures? Then this is probably the perfect opportunity for you!

We are now looking for an engaged engineer to join our turbo system team at Volvo Powertrain Engineering in Malmö. We develop leading Turbo Systems and pioneering technologies for the Volvo Group. We have customer success as our number one deliverable and we are globally responsible for every Turbocharger our customers acquire. The development of the Turbo Compound-unit and Turbocharger for the Volvo D13 Engine in North America and Europe, makes us very proud!

We are creating the future, and now we offer you a chance to join us as CFD Simulation & Analysis Engineer.

What does a CFD Simulation & Analysis Engineer at Volvo Powertrain Engineering work with?
As CFD Simulation & Analysis Engineer you will plan and perform complete CFD simulations of engine and turbo systems. You will analyze simulation results and ensure correlation with measured results, recommend improvements and present the results to the internal customers. Your work will support project feasibility studies, concept evaluations and recommendations. In order to find the best solution you need to understand the end customers need, taking all project and product requirements into account. Furthermore, you will contribute to the Powertrain Engineering simulation network, take ownership and develop certain models and concepts within the Volvo global simulation community.

You will be part of a very experienced and engaged engineering team with great colleagues both locally in Malmö and around the world. You will work in close cooperation with the simulation team in Gothenburg and we expect you to network and collaborate with other teams globally.

Who do we believe you are?
In this position we believe that good ability for structure, customer focus and excellent communication and networking skills is important. We also believe that you have a creative mind and problem solving ability and with a drive to deliver results in time, since that is what this job is about. But most important of all we need you to be a true team player and you contribute with good team spirit.

We also imagine that you have:
A university degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical education
Fluent knowledge in English (speaking and writing) as we are a truly global and diverse company
Skills in CFD analysis (STAR-CCM+)
Experience from engine/vehicle or turbo development is a merit

But since we don't know you yet we probably won't have everything right about your background and who you are. So please - surprise us! Apply even if you don't match all criteria's today and show us what you believe is important to get this job done in a great way!

What can we offer you?
We can offer you an exciting and global working environment with experienced colleagues which will give you valuable experience for future development within Volvo Group. We recognize the importance of valuing diversity as a key to our current and future business success. You will get the opportunity to interact with highly committed colleagues and suppliers from different cultures. Team work, energy, passion and respect for the individual are key values for us. We hope you will learn as much from us as we will from you.

At Powertrain Engineering we are actively working to establish teams that will take maximum advantage of the strength inherent differences in knowledge, experience, age, gender and nationality.
