hela Sverige Join our newly established Logistics Procurement Team as a Category Lead Buyer (CALB) for land transports. We are part of the One Procurement organization, a team of 26 exceptional colleagues covering Perstorp's global business operations from the USA in the west to APAC in the east.
Role Overview:
As a Category Lead Buyer, you will oversee the global land transport category by spearheading sourcing projects for European sites and providing support to sites overseas. Your role will entail close collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, Business Managers, and Site Supply Chain organizations. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting IT and supply chain projects related to the land transport category.
Responsibilities:
In your quest to achieve the Best Sustainable Value for the Company, your key responsibilities will include:
• Negotiating and managing agreements for goods transport and associated logistic services.
• Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with both existing and new logistics providers to maximize the utilization of their expertise.
• Leading an internal network of transport coordinators to develop processes, service standards, and performance in transport management.
• Identifying cost reduction and value creation opportunities aligned with business needs.
• Addressing, resolving, or mitigating supplier performance and quality issues while fostering positive relationships with key suppliers.
• Prioritizing safety as an integral part of daily work.
• Representing the category to both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications:
• A Technical or Commercial University degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Logistics Procurement, Transport Operations, Supply Chain, or Customer Service in an international setting.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier or account management.
• Operational knowledge of various transport modes.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent networking abilities and a track record of effective remote collaboration with peers.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in English. Literacy in Swedish and in other European languages is a plus.
• A practical mindset with the ability to translate strategic objectives into local practices.
• Willingness to travel as required (approximately 15 days/year).
• Proficiency in working with MS Excel, Power BI, and other MS Office tools.
• Experience with SAP, Transporeon, or other TM systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of the overseas transport market is advantageous.
• A background in the chemical or technical industry is highly valued.

The position is preferably based in Perstorp, Malmö, or Stenungsund, with the possibility of hybrid work. This role is a permanent position.
